 Catarina comes from Lisbon, Portugal, and has been living in Amsterdam since 2019.

​

Her journey into the healing arts began in Granada, Spain, in 2013, when she felt a strong calling to learn about the human body and how to support herself and others through holistic and natural ways. 
Transitioning from the field of contemporary jewellery, Catarina began this journey with Swedish Massage and Manual Drain Lymphatic at the ESEN School.

​

Since then, she has learnt numerous manual techniques, including Neuromuscular Massage in Madrid, Spain, with Julio Alonso, Craniosacral at the Upledger Institute in Lisbon, and Visionary Craniosacral with Hugh Milne in Hamburg.

 

In 2021, alongside the profound change that was happening in her personal life, a wave of longing for knowledge rooted in spiritual principles grew in her soul with a deep desire to be of service to women during pregnancy and childbirth.

The resonance with Rachelle Seliga's work was profound and she joined the INNATE Traditions 2021 cohort, specializing in the early postpartum period. This training opened her eyes to the way modern society treats mothers and babies (and all human life in general), the lack of support that exists during this such vulnerable period in a woman's life and how to reverse this situation by supporting women's from their physiological needs.

Silvia Urbani, teacher and mentor of the Innate Traditions course, has been Catarina's mentor ever since, enriching and guiding her work and her life with profound wisdom and knowledge in the field of prenatal and perinatal somatic psychology, biodynamic craniosacral and somatics of the feminine.

​

Over the last three years, Catarina has studied with traditional teachers, learning traditional Placenta wisdom and traditional postpartum practices from Colombia and Mexico, particularly under the guidance of Colombian traditional midwife Laura Torres.

She also studied Holistic Pelvic Care with Tami Lynn Kent, Lynn Schulte and nervous system regulation and embodiment practices with Kimberly Ann Johnson.

Fascinated by the depths of Soul and Spirit, Catarina attended the Emotional Intelligence 2022 workshop with Donna Maria Camps, and delved into grief work with Frances Weller, as well as Bereavement Support with Amy Wright Glenn.

​

Catarina is currently training in Prenatal and Perinatal Psychology at APPPAH Birth Psychology under the mentoring of Christianna Deichmann.

Catarina is fluent in Portuguese, Spanish and English.
